We are excited about our newest enhancement to www.lakechelan.com. May of 2006 we implemented Chamber Master's on-line business listing program to the Chamber’s site. There are many unique features with this new program including the ability for members to keep their listing up-to-date. Previously, listings included business name, addresses, web links, phone numbers, and a 200 Character description (including spaces and punctuations). With this new program, you are able to upload a graphic next to your listing (max 75 pixels wide x 75 pixels high), Most significantly, you have been given a single page with an enhanced 1600 character description, an additional 5 bullet list, and space for eight graphics (max 150 pixels wide by 150 pixels high). You also have the option to add Job Postings and HOT DEALS (a,k.a special discounts).
Most significantly, is our new lodging module! Browsers can search by facilities, amenities, or specific date. Years ago, the Chamber decided to go above and beyond customer service by providing visitors with a consolidated listing of vacancy through our busy season. This not only eliminates frustration from visitors who may call numerous properties before finding a place to stay (if they haven’t already given up), but it also saves you from getting inundated with calls when you are already full. Previously, we uploaded an excel spreadsheet listing each property indicating vacant or full. With this new feature lodging members are able to select room types and give a brief description of each. You can also select facility amenities and room amenities.
Don’t forget about HOT DEALS ... visitors are always looking for packages. HOT DEALS are part of your membership, and it’s easy to manage! Apple Inn has a great example of their room vacancies, and Back Country Bed & Breakfast has a great example of a Hot Deal. We encourage you to view these listings to use as a template in maintaining your listing. If you are not able to maintain your availability, the Chamber can help keep it updated under a general accommodation category related to your lodging facility (rooms, homes, condos, cabins, or campsites).
May – December 2006 www.lakechelan.com had over 95,000 unique visits. Chamber Master’s business directory had over 135,000. This indicates approximately 30 percent of www.lakechelan.com browsers are returning back to the business directory.
Your login name and password is e-mailed to the primary representative of your business within a week of the beginning of your membership. To ensure accurate information getting transferred into QuickBooks, Chamber communications, and hard copy publications, we encourage you to update your listing as changes occur.
