The Board of Directors shall have general charge and direction of all affairs of the Chamber and shall set Chamber policy, borrow money and manage and control all its funds and property. The Board shall have the power to employ or authorize the employment of the Executive Director. Scott Anderson, North Cascades Bank
Scott Anderson is the President of North Cascades Bank. He has been with the bank since 2002. Scott holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Minnesota. He is also a 1997 graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington. As a community banker, he is passionate about local businesses and their role in making our community better. Scott served on the Chamber board from 2007-2012. He also serves on the board of the North Central Education Foundation.
Lester Cooper, Lake Chelan Rotary
Lester Cooper was born in England, immigrated to North America in 1965, moved to Seattle in 1971 and purchased a home in Chelan in 1992. Lester worked for PACCAR for 21 years and recently retired from an extensive career with General Electric. As a businessperson, he has traveled extensively throughout the world and has a unique understanding of many different cultures and international diversity. Lester is active in the community and presently serves on the Board of Directors of Chelan Valley Hope, Lake Chelan Community Hospital Foundation and Lake Chelan Rotary. As a past President of Lake Chelan Rotary, he is passionately involved with many community activities, is the advisor to Chelan High School INTERACT club and is responsible for Rotary International Service. Lester loves living in Chelan and enjoys every aspect of the life that the Lake Chelan Valley has to offer. Lester believes strongly in the need to give back to the community and is dedicated to helping the community in any way possible.
Sandy Calicoat, New American Funding
Sandy Calicoat is a mortgage broker with New American Funding – her office being located in the new Chamber of Commerce building. She has been in the residential mortgage industry as a loan officer for over 20 years. Sandy and her husband have lived in the valley for the past 15 years. She is involved with many community activities and currently serves on the Board of Directors at Lake Chelan Rotary. Sandy feels giving back to the community and helping the Chelan Valley businesses in whatever way the Lake Chelan Chamber can assist with or promote is very important.
Aaron Evans, Lake Chelan Walmart
Aaron Evans has been the General Manager at the Lake Chelan Walmart Supercenter since opening in 2007; prior to this he managed the Walmart Store in Pleasanton, CA for four years. He has many years in the retail industry starting out in retail in 1989, working for Hallmark Greeting Cards, and has had a 22-year career with Walmart. Aaron attended the University of Texas at El Paso, with a Major in Business Management. He has been a member of the Lake Chelan Rotary Club since 2007 and enjoys volunteering time on community projects. In off time, he spends it with his family either on the lake in the summer or snowmobiling in the winter. Aaron wants to work hard to help improve off season growth for all businesses in the Lake Chelan Valley.
Jessie Simmons, Historic Downtown Chelan Association
Jessie is a Chelan native who recently returned home to serve as Executive Director of the HDCA. Prior to moving back to Chelan, she worked in the advertising industry in Portland, OR. In her eight years at Wieden+Kennedy, she worked with advertising clients such as Nike, Coca-Cola, P&G, Old Spice and Dodge/Chrysler. She gained experience across multiple departments including: Public Relations, Media Buying, Account Management and Creative Recruiting. Jessie received degrees in Journalism and Psychology at Washington State University after graduating from Chelan High School. She’s excited to be back in Chelan promoting a community she cares about deeply.
