Habitat Store - Habitat for Humanity

A Volunteer Reflection from Mark Tesch
Come to the site, once regular work days are allowed by the weather. (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday). Bring a hammer, a tape measure, a couple of pencils, suntan lotion and the willingness to get dirty, to laugh, to build a home for a very appreciative family. I will be providing work schedules and will post them on the website, www.lakechelanvalleyhabitatforhumanity.com . This home's dedication will not be a Christmas gathering, as usual. It will be a summer BarBQ. Be a part of it. Try on a Habitat Tee-shirt. Raise your hammer high! So, you say that you don't swing a hammer. Other chances to try it on include working at The Habitat Store, working with Store Building Committee, Family Relations Committee, Church Relations Committee, or in other capacities. Especially needed at this time is involvement of a few more 'willing angels' to dedicate energy into the selection process for the next family. We would like to shorten our application to chosen family process, and work more efficiently this round to get the family selected and the next house weathered in before Old Man Winter gets its grip next November. As a group I am confident that we can build a house a year on a consistent basis. But this is only with your commitment and God's grace. That's a pretty good combo, I'd say. In the exciting peace of building on God's promises Mark Feb 2007
