RIO VISTA WINES, the Winery on the River, is a hidden jewel on the banks of the sparkling Columbia River. The only waterfront winery in the region, we are located just 10 minutes north of Chelan. The hunt for great, award-winning wines is an enjoyable sport, so bring your wine-loving friends and taste the passion in our wines. You can visit by car, boat or float plane. If you can't come by boat or seaplane, watching from one of the two decks, the gazebo or acre of landscaped lawns while savoring a glass of fine wine is an enjoyable experience.
Rio Vista Wines offer eleven different wines for your tasting pleasure: ranging from semi-sweet to dry white; from mellow to big, bold reds; and some unique blends that you won't find anywhere else. Eighty percent of our wines are estate grown. The whites include Chardonnay, Viognier, Rosè, Riesling, and the unique blends: Sunset on the River and Wacky White. The reds included Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Barbera, and the exquisite blend: Loony Red.
Rio Vista makes an ideal picnic site with picnic tables placed so that you always have a great view of the river, the boats, or the float plane arrivals and departures. The Tasting Room offers smoked salmon or salami, with cheese and crackers, for your afternoon picnic ....or you can bring your own. Rio Vista Wines is the on-site home of the Kerry Siderius Watercolor Art Gallery. Kerry is a well-known local artist and has created all of our "artist-edition" wine labels. Her gallery-wrapped canvases, large prints, small prints, note cards, and wine labels make Rio Vista an art-lovers' destination.
