Wine Tasting

It's not often you get to tell someone you were "there" at the start of something special. This is your opportunity.  The Lake Chelan valley may be a young wine destination, but don't be fooled.  Like any prodigy, it is precocious and advanced beyond its years. So much so, that the federal government bestowed the valley with its own unique appellation, or AVA.  To the uninitiated, put simply, it's a big deal, signifying a wine experience you will not find anywhere else in the world.  The designation is not handed out lightly.  One sip of our wines, and we think you'll know why the feds agreed with us.

So what make the vintages so...well...vintage?

Start with the soil.  Volcanic, rich with minerals left from passing glaciers, it possesses properties simply not found anywhere else in the state.  Paired with the "lake effect" moderating temperatures and extending growing seasons beyond many locales, and you're left with varietals as expressive and diverse as they are stunning.

Our wines are attractive, but that's only half the experience.  One glance out of our many wineries' picture windows pointing to the unique beauty of the lake and valley tells you the other half of the story.  And the person actually telling you the tale behind the counter?  Chances are that could be the very winemaker who produced the vintage in your glass.  It's a one-of-a-kind experience, and just one example of how we pride ourselves on a wine experience as personal as we are passionate about our art and craft.
