Chamber Board

Sandy Calicoat-President

Caliber Home Loans

Sandy Calicoat is a mortgage broker with Caliber Home Loans – her office is located in the Chamber of Commerce building.  She has been in the residential mortgage industry as a loan officer for over 20 years.  Sandy and her husband have lived in the valley for the past 15 years.  She is involved with many community activities and currently serves on the Board of Directors at Lake Chelan Rotary.  Sandy feels giving back to the community and helping the Chelan Valley businesses in whatever way the Lake Chelan Chamber can assist with or promote is very important.

KOZI Radio

Jay Witherbee is the news director/morning host for KOZI radio.  During the three decades he has lived in Chelan, Jay has owned several businesses and has worked with the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce and business community in multiple capacities, including elected city government.  Jay’s business involvement has included operations in both Chelan and Manson and he has working relationships with businesses and community members surrounding the greater Lake Chelan alley.

In the 1990s, Jay served for many years as a board member of the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce and was awarded Chamber Member of the Year.  During this period, he was active in establishing community events and ensuring return on investment for Chamber members.

His interest in returning to the Chamber board now reflects not just his continued passion for the greater Lake Chelan community but also his interest in seeing the community thrive for the enjoyment and needs of its year-round citizens, investors and guests.

Krysta Westmoreland

The Meat Shop

Krysta recently relocated to the Lake Chelan Valley in 2017, along with her husband Gary and their dog Nala. Upon settling they opened The Meat Shop in Chelan and haven’t been happier! Prior to The Meat Shop, Krysta worked in various marketing and event management roles for Brandeis University, The Exeter Area Chamber of Commerce and several non-profits in the Greater Boston Area. Krysta has thoroughly enjoyed becoming active in the community and is looking forward to becoming even more involved. When not in the shop, Krysta can be found volunteering with Rotary, supporting one of the areas many great wineries, or enjoying the outdoors.

Ryan Peterson

The Apple Cup Café

Born in Colorado, Ryan moved to Chelan when he was 8 years old and graduated from Chelan High School in 2005. He spent most of the next decade in different parts of Oregon before settling in Astoria. In Astoria he worked as an administrator for a new 50 bed drug and alcohol treatment center in the area and helped grow and expand the company for 3 years. In the winter of 2013, he and his wife moved back to Chelan to purchase the Apple Cup Café from his mother who owned the restaurant for nearly 20 years. For the last 4 years they have run the restaurant with a hands on approach, employing 30+ people year round and strengthening ties to the community wherever possible.

His goal in joining the Chamber Board is to be part of the biggest resource to local businesses, have another outlet to give back to the community and represent not only the business owners of the valley but also the employees of local businesses that make up a vast percentage of our local population.
