Getting To Stehekin

The Lake Chelan Boat Company provides year-round passenger service between Chelan and Stehekin with schedule stops at Field’s Point and Lucurne via the Lady of the Lake and Lady Express.

The Lady of the Lake has been providing ferry services on the lake for over a century, but now with something new! It is now owned and operated by two Chelan and Stehekin locals. Expect a welcoming and special experience all the way up and down the lake when you travel with them.

It has been touted by National Geographic and Sunset Magazine as a “must see trip” for anyone coming to Lake Chelan”. You don’t want to miss it.

Helicopter

Lake Chelan Helicopters offers a flight of a lifetime to and from Stehekin. A bird’s eye view of the entire lake and surrounding mountains. Contact them for flight schedules and information.

Hike or Horseback

For a wilderness adventure hike or horseback into the Stehekin Valley. Multiple routes traverse the surrounding wilderness areas. For trail conditions and trip planning, contact the Chelan Ranger Station. For a corral for your horses when staying in Stehekin, contact the Stehekin Valley Ranch.

Private Boat

There are over 16 public docks along Lake Chelan including four in the National Recreation Area.
Boaters using any of these federal docks, including one in Stehekin, need a dock site pass from May 1 to October 31 ($5 daily or $40 for the season). This fee helps pay for maintenance costs.
Passes can be obtained at the Chelan Ranger Station or from local vendors in Chelan or Stehekin.
