Where to Stay in Stehekin
There are several places to stay overnight in Stehekin, including lodges, tent cabins, private rentals and campgrounds. Here are a few resources to get you started:
North Cascades Lodge at Stehekin. Convenience and comfort at its best. Located directly across from the boat dock. Choose from cabins with kitchens, standard units, view rooms or even the standalone Lakehouse-great for families and groups.
The North Cascades Lodge offers quiet, comfortable accommodations and a variety of activities to keep the whole family happy. Enjoy their restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, a general store with a wide selection of souvenirs and apparel, as well as basic food staples.
Located in the very heart of the beautiful North Cascade Mountains, the Stehekin Valley Ranch is 9 miles “up valley” from the head of Lake Chelan. They offer a variety of unique vacation experiences. Enjoy day hiking, horseback riding, kayaking, fishing, massage, electric bikes and more.
Meals and transportation to/from the landing are included with all accommodations. Choose from tent cabins, ranch cabins and ranch wagons.
From lakeside campsites to roadside camps and backpacking sites, Stehekin offers a wide range of camping. Most camps require a free backcountry permit, available from the Golden West Visitor Center (509.699.2080, ext. 14).
Lakeside sites do not require a backcountry permit, but private boaters may need to obtain a Federal Dock permit if using one of the docks. Federal Dock permits are available from the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce, Chelan Ranger Station, Kelly’s Ace Hardware, North Cascades Lodge General Store, Old Mill Park, Reed’s Marine and Lake Chelan State Park.
The Chelan Ranger Station can also be contacted for current campground information.
The Stehekin locals have worked hard to give a true Stehekin Experience by providing private cabin rentals. Enjoy your stay in Stehekin in a cozy, remote and peaceful cabin of your own. Great for a romantic getaway, anniversary or family adventure.
Most come with a fully equipped kitchen and your very own vehicle to give you the freedom to tour the entire Stehekin Valley on your own time. No need to follow any schedule.
