Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY
To provide school-wide leadership and support which will assure, to the greatest extent
possible, the implementation of the philosophy and core values of the athletic program

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Promote the success of all students by
implementing and sustaining a program culture that contributes to both the school and
community
Supervise, observe, and evaluate the coaching staff
Conduct and organize interviews for coaching vacancies
Develop, coordinate, and communicate all
athletic schedules and necessary transportation arrangements
Develop and coordinate all practice schedules and facility coordination
Review and monitor all student eligibility paperwork
Coordinate and supervise all sporting events
Lead coaching meetings seasonally and
establish a professional development focus with Coaching Association President
Lead and facilitate seasonal parent and coaching meetings
Work cooperatively with Athletic Booster Club and attend all meetings and ensure compliance with state and district guidelines
Lead the promotion of the athletic program
utilizing a variety of media formats: sports
banquets, award ceremonies, hall of fame, etc.
Lead the annual review of the honor code and athletic policies, enlisting input from students, staff, coaches and community
Coordinate with district supervisors the repair and maintenance of facilities including fields, gyms, etc.
Effectively publicize all interscholastic sports through press releases, social media, radio; etc. for all athletic events
Procure and maintain equipment; provide items for purchase, storage, distribution, and
collection in coordination with coaches.

Terms of Employment:
The annual contract is based on 220 days offering a competitive salary range along with a comprehensive fringe benefit package.

Position Application Requirements:
Previous HS head coaching and/or administrative experience preferred
WA teaching certification and principal’s
certification preferred
Letter of interest describing education, experience, and training relating to the position requirements
Current resume
3 letters of recommendation to include current and past supervisors
