Join the Manson American Legion and the Chelan VFW as we remember September 11, 2001, twenty years later. The event gets underway at 8:30am on Saturday-September 11 at the American Legion Park in Manson.
Manson Fire truck, Tower 51 will be on display with its huge American flag waving in the breeze.
The Color Guard from the American Legion and VFW will post Colors.
We will hear people that watched as the planes hit the twin towers, watched in disbelief.
We will recognize, with the ringing of a bell and readings from Manson High School students as each plane crashed and the lives lost.
The Color Guard will retire Colors followed by the Lake Chelan Patriotic Singer leading everyone in God Bless America.
A display table will be on site, holding 13 American flags recognizing members of the United States Armed Services who recently lost their life.
Hope to see you there as we honor the 2,977 people who were killed in New York City, Washington, DC and outside of Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
