Job Description:
Chelan High School has an opening for a Weight Room Supervisor for morning weights program. We are seeking a passionate coach committed to enhancing educational opportunities for students through athletics, while promoting the Chelan Athletic Department core values: passion, integrity, growth mindset, and accountability. Salary $2000 per semester based on prior, documented, school district experience in the same sport.
Qualifications to Include
Prior coaching and/or playing experience in the sport.
Prior experience coaching young adults is preferred. A background and/or experience in Physical and/or Personal Fitness and Training is required.
Proven ability to coach at the high school level.
Willingness to work with staff.
Valid first aid and CPR card, or willingness to obtain upon hiring.
FBI, Washington State Patrol and Sexual Misconduct background clearance.
Overview of Coaching Staff Expectations
Responsible for assisting in a program that is organized, well prepared, and operated with integrity. Coaches should use athletics to teach valuable life skills and provide an exceptional educational experience for the student-athletes.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with the student-athletes. Strive to be a quality role model that the student-athletes feel comfortable going to for mentorship, always putting student-athletes’ needs at the forefront and vigorously working to serve their needs.
Commitment to promoting the vision, values, and mission of the school district and athletic department including the three major goals of improving athletic performance, reducing athletic injuries, and teaching lifelong fitness and movement skills.
