Job Description: HS Pep Band Assistant
Job Overview: Assists in leading the Pep Band while performing at Fall/Winter football and basketball games throughout the respective sport season as well as assisting in performing in school pep rallies. Pep band performances typically occur on weeknight evenings and Saturdays.

 Leads, coordinates and supervises high school pep band performances including school pep rallies and all home contests, district, league and state tournaments
 Works in partnership with school music director and be present for school performances on a weekly basis and plan music for pep events
 Works collaboratively with all school stakeholders including teachers, administrators, custodians, coaches and transportation, to build understanding, investment, and support for a high-quality pep band to support student athletes
 Ensures safety and wellbeing of students at all times
 Provides opportunities for program feedback to music director and administration
 Promotes sportsmanship, positive student interaction, and school spirit and support of athletics through music
 Assumes responsibility for the conduct of the pep band members while representing the school
 Work effectively with coaches, athletic director, and booster club
 Support the vision and mission of the Chelan Athletics

Skills and desired qualifications:
 Experience in working with teenagers
 Experience in music in order to lead the pep band in performance activities
 Ability to play an instrument in the pep band (Wind/Brass/Percussion/Guitar)
 Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
 Ability to exercise diplomacy, tact and respect when dealing with others
 Ability to manage and supervise students in a performance setting

The Pep Band Assistant position is a part time position with a stipend of $1500.00
