February can often find us fighting the mid-winter blues, wondering just how much longer we have until spring will come warm us up. But we find other ways to warm up here in the valley! What better way to warm up than with the tried and true pairing of red wine and chocolate? This classic duo hasn’t led us astray yet and we continue looking forward to indulging ourselves year-after-year when Red Wine and Chocolate comes around.

Most of the wineries throughout the valley participate in two weekends of red wine, artisan chocolate, and warm fires with dear friends and loved ones. Many of them also offer tastings of their library wines or premiere new vintages of their most beloved wines! The weather may be chilly this time of year, but good company alongside delectable wine and chocolate pairings are sure to warm you right up. Here are just a few of the many Red Wine and Chocolate offerings to take part in!
Cairdeas Winery
Try a French-inspired truffle paired with an exquisite port from Cairdeas after enjoying a flight of their favorite reds. Or join them for a chocolate making and wine pairing with Chef Laurie Pfalzer of Pastry Craft. They’ll also have a fire going outside and gourmet s’mores galore!
Hard Row to Hoe Vineyards
Grab your love and head up to Hard Row to How for a light-hearted, romantic Valentine’s experience. This winery is known for their playful, brothel-inspired tasting room! Enjoy their selections of delicious red wine and truffle pairings and don’t forget to ask them the story behind their name!
Fielding Hills
Visit Fielding Hills on the south shore of Lake Chelan for the chance to taste their Barrel Select wines paired with Yetti chocolates! The Barrel Select wines are not on their regular tasting menu, so take advantage of the opportunity to taste some of their finest wines while taking in stunning views of the lake. You won’t be disappointed.
Karma Vineyards
Plan a romantic Valentine’s dinner for you and your partner in the cave at Karma Vineyards and get treated to a fantastic dinner paired with delicious wine and a romantic atmosphere. Or join them for their Red Wine and Chocolate brunch – happening both weekends!
Rocky Pond Winery
Get your fondue on downtown at the Rocky Pond tasting room the second week of Red Wine and Chocolate! They’re offering a chocolate fondue and sparkling special February 14-16. Supplies are limited, so reserve your spots ahead of time to join in on the fun!
Rio Vista Wines
Visit Rio Vista at either of their two locations (loc
ated in downtown Manson and along the Columbia river) to taste their very own wine-infused truffles and their favorites reds, including their Smoky Owl Port. Yum.
