Holiday’s Around the World
Local businesses will feature events, treats, drinks, crafts and more celebrating Small Town Holiday’s from Around the World!
Amos Rome Vineyards-Iceland
Amos Rome Vineyards is putting our spin on a unique Christmas tradition from Iceland: the Yule Cat (in honor of Amos Rome namesake cats Amos and Rome). According to legends, the Yule Cat is a monstrously huge black cat that appears on Christmas Eve. If there are no new clothes among the gifts under the tree, the Yule Cat will eat the innocent little children the gifts are intended for. To protect the young ones in the Chelan/Manson area from the Yule Cat, Amos Rome Vineyards will be collecting
coats, hats, gloves, scarves, and other winter wear to be donated to families in need. Bring your donation into the tasting room all month long and receive 10% off a bottle purchase!
It’s time to take a dip at Ancestry Cellars, but we’ve got a lot warmer way in mind before you start running off to the lake!
Christmas in our house always meant dipping our cookies in sweet things, especially wine! Our great grandma used to make a spectacular and unique dandelion wine that we would dunk Škanjate, a cookie similar to biscotti in. This year it just so happens that we have an amazing Gewurztraminer Ice Wine to create this old world pairing. We’ll also have hot cocoa on hand for the kids to dunk their treats in.
While there explore some of the additional recipes and Croatian themed foods available to compliment your holiday meal. Sretan Božić (Merry Christmas)
