seeking a PART-TIME (0.6 FTE) Speech Language Pathologist for the 2025–2026 school year.
Position Summary
The Speech Language Pathologist provides direct therapy services and supports educational outcomes by assessing,
planning, and delivering individualized services for students with speech and language needs. The SLP will also serve as a
case manager for students whose primary disability is speech and language.
Required Qualifications
● Washington State certification (minimum Initial ESA SLP certification; master’s degree required)
● Certification of Clinical Competency (CCC-SLP)
● Experience with assessment procedures
● Strong written and verbal communication skills
● Proven ability to collaborate positively with team members
Preferred Qualifications
● Bilingual English/Spanish skills
● Experience with augmentative communication devices
● Familiarity with Early Learning Intervention (3–5 years old)
Primary Responsibilities
Direct Therapy and Student Support
● Provide direct therapy services to eligible children targeting articulation, voice, fluency, feeding, and language
development to support educational progress.
● Facilitate and implement augmentative communication strategies as needed.
Evaluation and Assessment
● Conduct evaluations for students referred for services or Birth-to-Three programs, including administering
assessments, conducting observations, and preparing detailed evaluation reports with recommendations.
● Act as the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) leader for students referred with suspected speech or language
impairments.
Collaboration and Case Management
● Serve as the case manager for students whose primary disability is speech and language.
● Consult with parents, teachers, and school staff to develop and adapt student programs.
● Assist staff in understanding and implementing individualized student support strategies.
Professional Responsibilities
● Maintain accurate data records to document student progress and evaluate therapy effectiveness.
● Participate in Child Find activities and special services staff meetings.
● Support compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
● Perform minor hearing aid checks as needed.
Additional Duties
● Participate in ongoing professional development and stay current with evidence-based practices.
● Travel between district buildings (within a 2-mile radius) to provide services.
● Perform other related duties as necessary to support student success.

Salary and benefits are per the Lake Chelan Education Association collective bargaining agreement.
