Whether you prefer the comfort of an RV, the adventure of boating directly into a site or the serenity of backcountry camping along the upper basin and elevations, Lake Chelan has a camping experience that’s perfect for you.
With two state parks on the south shore and a variety of hook-ups and tent sites at the City park, Lake Chelan offers camping for beginners all the way up to seasoned professionals.
Plus, if you’re ever looking to host a group gathering, some campgrounds include large shelters, perfect for a summer cookout!
State Parks
There are two State Parks located on the south shore of the lake. The City of Chelan offers camping on the north shore, with full hook-ups and tent sites at the city park. There are several campgrounds on the smaller lakes near Manson – some with hook-ups, restrooms, showers and boat launches. There are also numerous boat-in and hike-in campgrounds within the Lake Chelan Valley.

City Parks
Walking distance from downtown Chelan. Full hookup RV sites (max 40ft) and tent pads, dump station, restrooms, showers and nearby marina. Pets welcome during off season, reservations required.

County Parks
Southeast of Chelan across the Columbia River toward East Wenatchee. Tent and RV sites (max 40 ft.) with electricity, water, boat launch and dump station. Showers, restrooms and shoreline trail. Open April through October. Pet friendly. first come, first served.

FOREST SERVICE CAMPGROUNDS
The Chelan Ranger District has 22 primitive campgrounds which are first come, first served. Ten “boat-in” campgrounds are located along Lake Chelan and require a Dock Site Permit of $5/day or $40 for a season pass.
All Chelan Ranger District Campgrounds include picnic tables, toilets and fi re-rings. Some include group shelters.
