Lake Chelan Chamber to Host General Candidate Forum

Lake Chelan School District, Manson School District, City of Chelan, Fire District #7, and Hospital District No. 2 candidates will answer community questions on October 4, 2021.

Chelan, Washington – September 22, 2021

Make an informed decision for the 2021 General Election. The Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce will host a general election candidate forum for Lake Chelan School District, Manson School District, City of Chelan, Fire District #7, and Hospital District No. 2 candidates on October 4th at 6:00pm. The forum will be held in the Performing Arts Center at the Chelan High School (215 Webster Ave. Chelan, WA 98816). Due to current Covid restrictions, the public is asked to join us virtually, and can submit questions prior to the event.

Between the five districts, there will be 16 candidates represented.

“Our goal is to provide community members with the opportunity to ask questions and make an informed decision about who will get their vote,” said Chamber Executive Director Mike Steele. The format will include an introduction and explanation of platform by each candidate, followed by a community question and answer period. The Citizens for Chelan Fire & Rescue will also be doing a short presentation. The public is encouraged to pre-submit questions to jill@lakechelan.com by Sunday October 3rd.

The forum is scheduled to occur one month prior to the general election deadline of November 2. The Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce and Lake Chelan Now will be offering a Live Feed of the forum on their Facebook pages (Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center, and Lake Chelan Now).
