Feel Good Again with 300 Days of Sun

It’s been a weird year, to say the least. It’s understandable that many of us feel stagnant and uninspired these days. After working from home, homeschooling kids, and canceling vacations, we’re ready to go…well, just about anywhere. It doesn’t have to stay that way though. The Lake Chelan Valley gets 300 days of sunshine every year. Take advantage of our year-round sunshine with us and you’ll feel good as new in no time!

Vitamin D

Vitamin D is a champion of immune function and bone, muscle, and heart health. But it’s also a major mood booster. And thankfully for us, it’s produced in your skin in response to sun exposure. With our 300 days of sunshine, there’s no shortage of that here in the valley. There’s plenty of Vitamin D to go around and you’ll be surprised at the difference a day or two in the sun can make. But don’t take our word for it, come check it out for yourself!

Hit the Water

Nothing rejuvenates us like a dip in the clear, glacial waters of Lake Chelan on a hot, hot day. It wakes up your system and hits the reset button. You’ll feel alive and inspired again after braving the icy goodness of Lake Chelan. Our favorite way to cool down while soaking up the sun? Lay under the sun until we’re almost unbearably hot, then dive in! The rush of cool water provides instant relief. Hop out, dry off, and repeat. And don’t forget to lather up on the sunscreen!

Slow Down

Enjoy the pace of a slower life as you bask in as many sun-soaked moments as possible. It’s not hard to do here in Lake Chelan, where you can find those sunny moments of peace and restoration all year-round. Take a walk by the water, shop downtown, or get out into the hills for a hike or bike ride to maximize your time in the sun while you get moving!

Winter Sun

We may be in the heat of summer now, but the Lake Chelan sunshine is just as satisfying and restorative in the winter months, too. Experience a bluebird January day in Lake Chelan, surrounded by snowy mountains and quiet roads, and you may never want to go back. Snowshoe on Echo Ridge, build a snowman at Don Morse Park, or enjoy a vibrant sunset over the water. However you decide to experience that winter sunshine, we know you’ll feel better for it.

What are you waiting for? Pack some high-SPF sunscreen and your finest shades and get yourself to the Lake Chelan Valley to soak up the sun with us!
