Tasting Room Associate – Full Time

Endless Orchard ™ Hard- Pressed Cider is looking for a Tasting Room Associate who provides an exceptional experience to guests through his or her cider knowledge, stellar customer service and a sales driven attitude. The Tasting Room Associate is responsible for the sale of cider and actively soliciting new members to join the cider club. The associate also provides assistance with set-up and breakdown of most events. This is a full-time position that requires weekend availability.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Greet all visitors to the tasting room and pour cider for tasting and enjoyment.
  • Able to prepare food and obtain Food Handlers certification.
  • Assist with hospitality special events as needed.
  • Represent brand at outside functions as needed.
  • Acquire and maintain thorough knowledge of Cider.
  • Assist in maintaining appearance and cleanliness of all facilities.
  • Create a warm and memorable experience for the guests, building brand loyalty.
  • Assist with display and stocking of retail items and cider.
  • Perform other duties as required including assisting other departments as needed.
  • Describe cider club options; promote and procure tastings, glass pours, bottle-sales and memberships to customers.
  • Provide general tourist information.
  • Handle routine sales transactions using Toast point of sales system; account for daily sales.

 

Qualifications:

  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Demonstrated ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Must be 21-years-old.
  • Must be able to work weeknight events and weekends as needed.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods as required by job duties.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Proficient on the computer (familiarity with POS systems desired).
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Professional, personable, welcoming, with excellent hospitality and customer service focus.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
  • Must be able to bend, squat, climb, push, stoop and crouch repeatedly.
  • Wine related experience helpful, including knowledge of cider and cider production.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
