Tai Chi – 6 week Series of Mindfulness

This class is a 6 week course intended to teach the first 12 movements of the Yang style, short form. Each class will include warm up exercises, and Qigong movements and will end with a short meditation while lying down on your back. Each new week will include the learning of 2 Tai Chi movements until, after six weeks, 12 total movements have been learned.

You may choose either one of the two different days during the week to attend to learn the skills. For example, each week has a Thursday and Saturday class time. You may attend either ONE of those days. Each week will contain a new set of two skills.

This class is intended for those with no experience in Tai Chi, so there is no need to be intimidated. If, however, you have taken Tai Chi classes in the past, but have forgotten some or all of the movements in the first half, you, too are welcome. 

This course is completely non-competitive. The course will be taught in the spirit of compassion and understanding. The class is for young and old alike. The movements are soft and easy to learn. 

What to Bring:

You will need to bring a pair of clean tennis shoes to wear during class. Be sure to take OFF the shoes you wear TO class, before entering the studio. You will also need a yoga mat to lie down on at the end of class.
